TAIFIB In Action

Sejumlah anggota pasukan khusus Intai Amfibi-1 (Taifib-1) Marinir, melakukan parameter tempur di hutan saat latihan komando hutan di Bhumi Marinir Karangpilang Surabaya, Sabtu (13/3). Latihan komando hutan tersebut bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Marinir sebagai salah satu pasukan khusus di Indonesia.

Batalyon Intai Amfibi / YONTAIFIB (Amphibious Reconnaissance Batallion)

Yontaifib is an elite unit in the Marine Corps, just like Kopassus in the Army. This unit is used to be named Kipam (Komando Intai Para Amfibi - Amphibious Reconnaissance Special Forces Command).
To obtain a certification of amphibious reconnaissance, a regular Marine has to first pass a tough selection and then pass the nine-month rigorous training program that contains the most difficlut curriculum. Thus, this amphibious recon certificate is very similar to commando certificate in Kopassus.
To become a Yontaifib troop, a candidate is selected from the Marine Corps who has already fulfilled the thorough mental and physical requirements, and who at least has actively served the corps for two years. The certification of amphibious reconnaissance is so difficult that the passing rate of these candidates in each class is only ten percent.
One of the most challenging exercise in this certification program is to swim underwater for three kilometers with the hands and feet are all tied. Because they are tied, the swimmer has to mimic the way dolphins swim. This swimming style is a training for anticipation of being caught by the enemies and trying to escape by swimming in the river or sea. Personel INTAI AMPHIBI MARINIR AL direkrut dari anggota berbagai macam keahlian dalam lingkup Korps Marinir. Dan calon harus minimal berdinas 2 tahun dan punya wing para

Standart perekrutan untuk calon anggota taifib sama dengan umumnya perekrutan pasukan khusus ditambah dengan tes berenang dengan tangan dan kaki terikat sepajang 2 km.

Pendidikan calon anggota Taifib dulunya dilaksanakan di jakarta dan di surabaya (menurut batalyon masing2) tetapi sekarang dilaksanakan di PUSLATPUR MARINIR Karangtekok Situbondo JATIM. Lama pendidikan 8 bulan meliputi : jungle warfare and survival,tahap rawa lanjutan. tahap laut lanjutan. pendaratan pantai khusus, medis, operasi raid amphibi, perang kota dan operasi amfibi rintis (untuk pancangan landing pasukan pendarat) serta combat freefall dan menembak dengan berbagai senjata+ intelijen tempur. Brevet Taifib DIKLAIM sama dengan brevet KOMANDO kopassus.
Marinir punya 2 batalyon taifib utk pasmar 1 dan 2. Kedudukan Taifib adalah 1 tingkat dibawah DENJAKA. Selengkapnya...
